16 Hospitality's Marathon Fundraising Success

On Sunday 15th May, a dedicated team of runners from 16 Hospitality laced up their running shoes to take part in the Chester Half Marathon.

The team of 12 from across our four sites in Cheshire and Anglesey- The Crown in Goostrey, The Swan in Tarporley, The White Eagle in Rhoscolyn and The Oyster Catcher in Rhosneigr- and our head office have been hard at work fundraising over the past few months on behalf of our chosen charity, Home-Start.

As it stands, the total raised is almost £5,000 and counting!

The money will be used to support families in Central and West Cheshire who are reaching breaking point because of isolation, bereavement, illness, poverty and other challenging issues.

Well done to everyone who took part- we're all really proud of you!

If you would like to donate, you can do so on the 16 Hospitality Just Giving page.

The Hub

Our hospitality training programme is open to all ages, whether 18 or 65, all year round. The only requirements are that applicants hold no previous experience and have a strong work ethic.

As well as gaining formal qualifications accredited by City & Guilds, ‘rookies’ will experience what it means to work in the day-to-day operation of hospitality venues, as well as have the unique opportunity to experience exciting and informative external trips with a range of established hospitality partners.

“What we want to offer at The Hub is not only a practical training programme but life-changing experiences, beginning with being handed an alarm clock to help with those early mornings and a ‘rookie’ badge. Those who succeed will not only receive graduation honours, they will receive a job guarantee at either one of our venues or one of our carefully selected partners.”
